Station 1
At you table is an igneous rock. Your group needs to use your rock mini-lab sheet to write down the properties of that mineral.
Station 2
Next to all of the descriptions of the rock at your table, write the definition of Coarse, Fine, Glassy and Vesicular.
Station 3
With a different color marker, write down the definition of Mafic and Felsic (include minerals found in each).
Station 4
All of the rock’s properties should be listed on your table. You now need to use you ID chart to list the name of the Rock at your table. (include all clues that lead you to this name).
Station 5
Below is a diagram showing the 3 main types of volcanoes in the world. On the table you are at, draw all three volcanoes, listing as many important features of this volcano as you can.
Station 6
Next to each of the volcanoes listed, write down the properties associated with each type of volcano. (Example, Viscosity, dissolved gasses, Silica content). Then include with the description the eruption style of each volcano, include lava flow, types of rocks associated with each volcano (use Rock ID chart). VIDEOS BELOW FOR HELP

List all of the hazards that are associated with volcanoes. (See objective notes)
Station 8
List ways volcanoes could cause changes to the: Atmosphere, Hydrosphere, and Biosphere (think 1st semester items).
